Former X Factor contestant Olly Murs and Radio 1 DJ Chris Moyles have taken to a childish war of wits following a phone conversation on The Chris Moyles Breakfast Show. The phone conversation was in regard to the Leeds United vs Manchester United match which takes place tonight.
Olly Murs is a Man Utd fan, while Chris Moyles is a Leeds Utd fan. During the chat, Olly said to Chris “What’s handsome and hangs up” before hanging up on the DJ.
Chris has decided to retaliate to this by getting his 8 million listeners to get #ollyisaleedsfan to trend on Twitter.
Chris and his Radio 1 team have also made pictures of Olly Murs in a Leeds United shirt and have even suggested that his fans should chant “Olly, Oll,y Olly Leeds, Leeds, Leeds” at the singers gigs. The childish war is showing no signs of slowing down as people buy into the Chris Moyles way.
Olly Murs has since responded by tweeting a picture of Chris Moyles in a Manchester United shirt. Despite the fact that the show is almost over for today, this war is bound to run and run for the rest of the week.
