Actress Heather Graham appeared in the television movie Flowers in the Attic earlier in the year and, those of you who have seen it will recall the incestuous vibe that ran through the film. Now, Heather has opened up about the movie and the incest in Flowers in the Attic in particular, admitting that she actually found it to be quite sexy in a very strange way.
Graham was a guest on iHeart Radio, when she said of the scenes, "It's in a sexy kind of way, that's the thing. It's twisted but something about it is sort of sexy so you're like, 'Wow, this is so disturbing but sexy at the same time.'"
She added, "It's a dark story, it's about child abuse but it's told in this very kind of, sort of Gothic, kind of weirdly like romantic story about incest. I mean it's really twisted there's a brother-sister plot, it's really bad parenting, it's really just a movie about really bad parenting.''
For those of you who do not know much about the movie, Flowers in the Attic is officially described as "After the sudden death of their father, four children face cruel treatment from their ruthless grandmother," with the movie airing earlier in the year.
As well as starring Heather Graham, Flowers in the Attic also features Ellen Burstyn, Kiernan Shipka, Mason Dye, Ava Telek, Maxwell Kovach, Dylan Bruce, and Chad Willett. Flowers in the Attic has been directed by Deborah Chow, based on the teleplay that Kayla Alpert adapted from the Virginia C. Andrews novel.
