It was not too much longer after they split up, that it was rumoured that Gigi Hadid and Joe Jonas were dating, with the couple since confirming their romance.

With Cody Simpson actually being good friends with Joe Jonas, you might think that it would now be very awkward between the two of them. However, Cody has now opened up about the relationship between Joe Jonas and Gigi Hadid, claiming that he is very happy for the new couple.
Simpson was chatting to E! News, when he explained, "I like them together. It's a good thing. Joe and I are best friends. We're each other's support system and closest friends, so naturally I'm gonna see a lot of her because they're together and it's great. I'm really happy for them. I think they seem very happy together and it's good."

As well as admitting that he was happy that his ex-girlfriend Gigi Hadid and his good friend Joe Jonas were dating, Cody Simpson also spoke about trying to be cool about the whole thing. Cody says that he and Gigi have a lot of the same friends so he just tries to keep himself impartial about it all.
Simpson added, "It's all cool. We have all mutual friends and stuff in New York. I'm cool about it. I'm sort of impartial to the whole thing and I try to remain nice to everyone and not cause any bad blood or anything."
