Singer Avril Lavigne is preparing for the release of her fifth album, which she recently confirmed would be a self-titled album, when it drops early next month. Now, Avril has opened up about the new album, revealing why she chose to self-title the record, rather than come up with something different.
During an interview with Bello magazine, Lavigne explained, "I didn't know what to call it. I really couldn't find a title to sum it up. At the end of the day, I didn't want to give it a title. I'm just really excited for my fans to hear it. I think they'll be surprised."
Avril also spoke about her other projects, such as fashion label Abbey Dawn, and how they all link to her music, "I like to be busy. Everything that I do outside of music is tied into my music. So it's all about good management and multitasking and keeping everything together. Making it all go hand in hand. When it comes to designing and making fragrances, I tie it all in with my current album. The colours, the theme, and the vibe," she added.
The new Avril Lavigne album will drop on November 4 in the UK, before then hitting the US a day later, on November 5. The album features the Avril Lavigne collaboration with her husband Chad Kroeger, which is titled Let Me Go and can be heard below.
