Anne Hathaway showed off her newly bleached blonde locks at the MET Gala last night. Hathaway, who wore Valentino to the soiree, surprised bystanders and guests when she turned up with bright blonde hair. The hair was slicked back into an updo, and Hathaway was one of the few who managed to pull off the 'Punk: Chaos to Couture' theme of the gala.

In addition to the hair, Hathaway managed to bring a distinct punk rock glam to her outfit, wearing a black braless and see-through black gown with lace and sparkles. The whole look and the new hair definitely suited her and most fashion blogs' reaction was very positive.
It's not clear whether the hair was just a last-minute decision or whether it was for a film role, but Hathaway revealed that her inspiration was Debbie Henry. On the red carpet, Hathaway told Vogue, "I don't know that you could tell it by looking at me, but Debbie Harry was (my inspiration)."

Anne's husband, Adam Shulman, was present at the gala with her and the duo were spotted partying it up at the afterparty for the fancy soiree. Anne will soon be heading into production on 'Interstellar' alongside Matthew McConaughey and Jessica Chastain.
